To quote on trustee who wrote earlier this week “thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!”
On behalf of everybody here at Concerts for Craswall, please accept this very inadequate, yet heartfelt, token of our gratitude for what you have both helped us achieve with our new website.
You have quite simply dragged us into the 21st century, giving us a modern platform on which we can now build. As with so many classical music organisations, we face the ever present challenge of a “maturing” supporter base, therefore, attracting new members and audiences is essential if we are to survive. A wide range of access channels, informative articles and easy to use services are essential, if we are to have a chance of continuing for at least another 25 years.
I have genuinely appreciated the support, patience and gentle persuasion pushing me along the way. You listened, absorbed and suggested imaginative, yet practical solutions to our challenges.
This new website is the perfect statement of intent as our Founder Sue Norrington hands over responsibility for Concerts for Craswall to a new generation of trustees and volunteers. A more structured, accessible and transparent window on our wonderful charity and its magical concerts. Indeed, on the community of Craswall as a whole.
I will finish as I started, with a quote: this time from a member of the public who sent a note yesterday:
“I’ve just booked my ticket for the Abbeydore concert on the fabulous new website for Concerts for Craswall. So pleased that it’s in such capable hands. Bodes well for the future.”
