WordPress is a popular tool for creating fully functioning websites. You don’t need to be an expert web developer to create or maintain a site but it helps if you know your way around the tool. There is also a lot of extra functionality you can add with plugins, but there are thousands and you need to know which to pick.
If your website uses WordPress and you’d like some guidance on how to create the website your business deserves, then this workshop is for you.
As part of the workshop, we provide a training environment within which you can practise your WordPress skills in safety before upgrading your own site.
In this workshop
- Learn what WordPress has to offer
- Get advice on plugins and integrations to other tools
- Have plenty of time to practise on one of our training sites
- Learn how to make your site really work for you
The workshop is a practical session, so please bring a laptop or appropriate tablet. We will provide a WordPress training environment but if you want to show us your own website so that we can give advice, you will need to remember your username and password!
If you have a specific feature on your site that you would like to us to look at, please let us know in advance. This will help us plan the morning.
You will leave with:
- A good understanding of how WordPress works
- Confidence in editing pages and posts
- Knowledge of how you can upgrade your site without problems
- A new network of other business owners you’ll meet at the workshop
The workshop is suitable for:
Anyone who has a WordPress website for which they create content.
Start: 9.30am, 11th March
Finish: 12.30pm, 11th March
