Our client had inherited a document written Microsoft Word which was over 50 pages long and full of numbered sections, sub-sections and references. It was proving very hard to maintain the table of contents, which was being done by hand.

When we looked at the document, it was clear why it was taking so long; the document headings were all hand-numbered and so the table of contents had to be crafted by hand as well. We showed the client how to use the Word headings system and the automated tool for tables of contents.

It may have been just a couple of hours tuition, but it continues to save the client a lot of time and stress.
