As a small voluntary organisation, Malvern Museum had only a limited budget to improve its basic website. At our initial meeting with Nepeta, we drew up a list of what the museum’s needs were. This included exploring functionality that had not previously been considered but which would enhance a website visit. Nepeta offered a package of improvements that were tailored to our needs. They then created a new website for us in the format we specified. It was based on the chosen colour scheme and fonts and was supported by drop down menus, slideshow and linked pages. It also allowed us to update the content ourselves, something we hadn’t been able to do before.
The professional advice and support, as well as the design of the website, were impressive right from the start. All the technical aspects were explained well and pitched at the level of our own limited understanding. We had some excellent tuition on how to create a new page, how to formulate the text, import photographs and check readability levels. It became quite easy, even slightly addictive, to create our own pages of information. Very soon we were confidently inserting hidden pages for a set of QR coded articles, devising a calendar of events and expanding sources of information that had not been included in the original website.
Ongoing support has been most helpful and timely reminders about updating some of the WordPress functions has been appreciated. The whole project has been very successful and the museum has had many compliments about its smart and functional new website. Nepeta has done an excellent job and we have recommended them to other organisations already.
